No, really, I am the worst blogger!

How did summer get so busy that I didn't make time to blog?  Well, obviously school has started - a bit too early thank you (Aug. 15)!  But it is going well for all 3 boys.  Landen has joined Jr. High with Parker and is really enjoying it.  He decided last minute to take percussion over trumpet.  Unfortunately he has to stay after school almost every day for P.E. because he can't run the mile very fast due to his Osgood Schlatters in both knees.  But he's so sweet, he doesn't complain!  (How does the P.E. teacher think this is doing him any good when it is actually causing more pain to his knees???).   He is playing soccer also, again without complaint!  Parker got his braces off last Monday and his teeth look really sweet!  He is also doing great in football.  Their team is 3-1, and he had a TD and 4 interceptions in one game.  Blake is in 2nd grade and has the same teacher that both his brothers had.  He is the most busy with his 1st flag football game tonight, a basketball practice on Thursday, and his last soccer game on Saturday.  But that is good for him, he likes to stay busy.  He also has lost both his front teeth, and looks adorable!  He lost one in a pool somewhere, and the other he begged Craig to pull. 

We were able to go see our nephew/cousin Garret play football in Wyoming this past weekend.  He plays for North Dakota State University, and we thought it wasn't too far to go to Laramie, WY to see him play, and also see some of the other Minnesota Johnsons' who traveled there as well.  It was a fun time and beautiful weather!  We stayed in our motorhome at the KOA.  Craig's dad and Aunt came along with us, but stayed in a motel.  We had never met Aunt Darlene, and it was great to get to know her a little.  She inspires us to get it together with Geneology!   Craig is finally done with lake rentals for the year.  Now he's hoping for lots of snow this winter for snowmobile season.  He is also helping to put on a Luau for Parker's football team fundraiser, and is Blake's flag football coach.  Darci is Landen's soccer team manager, and it's a lot more work than originally thought!  Craig and Darci are going to Puerto Rico next month (hopefully no hurricanes!).  Craig's brother Rob and his family survived hurricane Ike, but it was scary for a while!  Check out their blog.
